Deacon Qualifications

The Deacons of Crossroads Community Church shall meet the qualifications listed below:

1. Spiritual

   1. Men full of the Holy Spirit (Acts 6:3)

   2. Men full of wisdom (Acts 6:3)

   3. Men full of faith (Acts 6:5)

   4. Men who tithe (Matthew 22:21, Malachi 3:10)

2. Moral

   1. Men of good reputation (Acts 6:3)

   2. Men who are reverent (1 Timothy 3:8)

   3. Men truthful in speech (1 Timothy 3:8)

   4. Men not given to much wine(1 Timothy 3:8)

   5. Men not greedy for money(1 Timothy 3:8)

   6. Men faithful with a pure conscience(1 Timothy 3:9)

   7. Men tested and found blameless(1 Timothy 3:10)

   8. Husband of one reverent, temperate, and faithful wife, ruling their children and their own houses well

(1 Timothy 3:11-12)

1. Practical

   1. Supports the Pastor and the church staff (1 Timothy 5:17, Galatians 6:6)

   2. Faithful attendance to church services (Hebrews 10:25)

   3. Encourages and participates in church organizations (Hebrews 10:23)

   4. Shares his faith and makes disciples (Matthew 28:19-20)

   5. Ministers to church members assigned in times of physical and spiritual need (Galatians 6:10, Romans 12:13)

   6. Faithfully attends Deacon meetings (1 Timothy 3:10)

   7. Lives according to Scripture in regards to being set apart by the church (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

 

The men nominated must be 21 years of age and have been a member of Crossroads Community Church for at least one (1) year previous to the date of nomination. 

ALL nominations must be in the church office no later than the morning worship service Sunday, June 27, 2020.

All men are eligible to receive your nominations, except the men who fall under one of two categories: (1) Men who have been a member for less than one year as of June 30th, 2021 (2) Men who are currently serving. The following men fall into these categories:
